Wow, it's been a long time since I posted! I am a year into my Nutrition Therapy Program and am not eager to report that I have actually gained weight since I started the program. Yup...learning more about the human body and how food affects it has not helped me to shed the unwanted pounds. I am now teetering between 138 and 139. I also have not lost my diet mentality. I give up worrying about what I eat for a while only to eat too many sweets and too much food in general. Then I decide it's time to do something because my clothes don't fit. That doesn't end up lasting because I never have a plan. I am thinking there is really something to the thing called goal setting.
I am currently toying around with Eat Stop Eat again. It's a matter of feeling accomplished after fasting for a whole day and getting back the feeling of really being hungry. I was doing well on the eating plan I got from my teacher/nutritionist; eating 3 meals a day with a protein, fat, fruit, vegetable and fiber. But I find the more I think about planning meals and food in general the more I eat. Working from home being near the kitchen all day doesn't help either!
So...bottom line here is that I need a plan. No more willy nilly. I need to fit into my jeans by the time fall comes around. I can't afford to buy more (nor do I want to!). Stay tuned.
